Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 medium Tomato, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Add salt and baking powder to the flour.
  3. Rub the fat (butter) into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Add bush tomato and mix through.
  5. Gradually add the milk, a little at a time, until you have a soft dough.
  6. Knead for a few minutes.
  7. Cut into scones and rest for 10 minutes.
  8. With a pastry brush, brush the tops of the scones with a little milk and bake for approximately 20 minutes at 200Β° C or until brown on the top.
